Here We Honor Our Members Who Have
Received A Coveted "Lifesaving Award"
To Receive A "Lifesaving Award" A PTAR
Member Must, As The Name of The Award
Implies, Save A Patient's Life.
PTAR has set a very high standard for our "Lifesaving Awards".
Some EMS agencies present such awards if a patient survives at least
long enough to be admitted to a floor room of a hospital, even
if they expire just a few hours later.
The criteria which PTAR has set, however, is that the patient must
survive long enough to be released from the hospital,
hopefully to continue leading a productive life.
