Our "Employee of the Year" is selected through a voting process by
all of our members, which makes the award especially meaningful to
the recipient.

As PTAR Chief Paula Lineberry presented the first of the two awards she said, "This is something that is not a popularity contest. It is some- thing that goes to a very deserving individual, or individuals, and I think it's a very high honor to be voted Employee of the Year by your own peers."

She said, "This particular year it was very, very close, and it's very hard for me to break a tie. So, we have two awards."

In introducing the first recipient, she said "When I think of this person there's one word which comes to my mind that describes this person, and that word is 'genuine'. This person is a genuine person, and this person takes pride in the job that they do every single day when they come to work. They don't take the job lightly, they're very dedicated to their patients, they take very good care of their patients, and this person is very sensitive to the patient's needs and things that are going on with their health. This person actually likes to come to work. And I know, for some of us, that's difficult on many days."

Chief Lineberry continued by saying, "This person does the job without a great deal of supervision. This person is very responsible. And I think when I tell you who it is, the word 'genuine' will also pop into your mind. This is a very deserving recipient. I want to give a hand to Debra Morton."

This award recognizes Debra's hard work, devotion to her job, and outstanding job performance throughout 2008. It also speaks highly
of her ability to work well with her coworkers as a team player.

In addition, this award acknowledges Debra's training achievements, certifications and job knowledge, all of which she continually strives to increase and improve upon.

Chief Lineberry said, "People fight to work with Debra." She added that Debra is very deserving of the Employee of the Year award, and thanked her for doing a great job.

Debra Morton joined PTAR on November 26, 2007, and is certified
at the Emergency Medical Technician–Intermediate (EMT–I) level.

We congratulate Debra Morton for being named
