~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ PTAR is proud to announce that we have begun construction of our newest Base Station at 108 East Balfour Avenue in Asheboro, N.C. On Monday, August 17, 2009, the first pieces of construction equipment were off loaded onto our new property at that location to begin clearing trees from the property, which is located one block east of North Fayetteville Street, just north of downtown Asheboro. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We will document the construction of our new Base Station – as it progresses over the next several months – with photos on this website. |

 Pictured above is the facility where the Asheboro PTAR ambulance has been housed for the past several years. It is the Randolph County EMS Station at the Ira McDowell Center, located at 2222 South Fayetteville Street. |
 The Asheboro PTAR ambulance and crew members currently share somewhat cramped quarters with Randolph County EMS personnel and vehicles. |
 The Asheboro PTAR ambulance – shown here at the Randolph County EMS Station – often has to park outside, and crew members have limited office and living space available inside the building. |
 Our PTAR crews frequently spend their "down time" at one of our crew member's house – shown above – as well as sleeping there, due to the insufficient space at the Randolph County EMS Station. |
